I first read all this stuff on The Register - sounds like I'll be sticking with XP, even on my PC.

At 10:30 this morning Bristol had a few white Verizon pads and a few black 16GB WiFi pads. Neither was what I was looking for. I went to MV, Spectrum, Fashion Isalnd, called Brea and Cerritos - all sold out. I am going back to Bristol for opening time tomorrow.

Bristol Apple store? Ill be going to Best Buy (Tustin / the District / Costa Mesa, either of those) to reserve an iPad tomorrow. If they happen to have one, ill get a black 16gb WiFi. Ill probably call each store before I go though. Either way, Ill have one by the end of the week it seems.
And if that doesnt work, Ill try the Apple stores (Irvine and Fashion Island and South Coast.)
Then if I am totally empty handed Ill just expand outside of the OC if I have to.

Also, the more we talk about him, the more he wins. If people continue to talk about him, he will just keep winning. There really is not anything else to discuss, but the media seems to enjoy rehashing his choices for some reason.

Apple continues their model to suck most money out of their customers.
Example:
-Can't buy base 21.5'' with 6770M or 6970M.
-Can't buy base 27'' with 6970M.
Why does it always have to be that if you want a good graphics card, you must go for the top model, and thereby paying so much more than if you could just customize the base model with it?
Already know the answer, but let your defending excuses come.

If you do circlular motion (like in current iPod) the device would scroll, adjust volume, and do the other things you can do on the current iPod. If you move your finger straigh up, it would be equivaltnof clicking "menu". Straight down would be play/pause and so forth.
Yup - this would be a good way of implementing things - much like the Newton's guesture-based interface where you draw an up line to capitalize words, down to set them to lower case, scribble to delete something, etc.
The Newton interface still rocks today and it would be great to see some elements of it re-appear in the next generation iPods...

Nice. I can hardly wait for the MacBook Air update coming next, along with (I assume) the Mac Mini and MacBook updates.

It just updated a few minutes ago. Interestingly, a 256GB SSD is a $500 option, while a 1TB HD + 256GB SSD is a $600 option (I didn't realize 1TB drives were so cheap). Anyway, it adds 2-3 weeks to the shipping time. Not that I care, since I'm not getting an iMac (but every new Mac refresh gets me closer to the one I'll actually get - MacBook Air Rev E).

Wait, I thought the show was cancelled, then it wasn't, then it is, so what is actually going on?
The show hasn't been officially cancelled. Before today, they shut down production for the last 8 episodes for this season. Today, they fired Sheen and said they are unsure if the show will go on. Knowing Hollywood, they'll go on with a replacement. Oddly, Sheen replaced Michael J. Fox on his show when Fox quit and it went on for another 2 or 3 seasons.

Wonders though how close you'd have to be, i mean if it is a few inches or less it is still a touch screen and the sillys will touch it anyway, but can you blame them it is an iPod. How can you not touch, even if youre not supposed to:) :) :)

That render is terrible. Apple should stick with the iPhone 4 design if this is the alternative. I will never buy another product with a Chrome back casing like that. Had an iPod Touch back in the day (still have it, actually, unused) with a chrome back, and it looks like **** after like, a week of use. Scratches easily and feels weird in my hands.

I had the same thing happen to me for a $5 app I didn't even want. They told me to turn on the shopping cart...I was on iPad and there is no shopping cart...but there should be one.
